:: HEAVYWEIGHT lunch ::

had a great lunch today, with fellow 'lunch team members' - the 4A's and a J. ;p

treating ourselves, (lebih kepada duit gaji dah masuk. it's berhoye² time), we head to Chili's MV.

it was a scrumptious lunch, and the service has improved A LOT since my last visit there. the waiter/resses are super friendly. able to give good suggestion and we just simply enjoy our meal (over the juicy gossips as well). two of the A's had the simple Old Timer burger, the other A who shared the same name with me had Chicken Crispers, the sweet J had firecracker fish (i find it LOVELY! akan masuk ke dalam senarai makanan yang boleh diorder selepas ini) while me, i had lamb shoulder. BUT I GULP A BIG GLASS OF LEMONADE, kunun² kasi pecah lemak² yang ku makan. ahaks!

managed to grab some books for my boys as well. alhamdulillah, the early introduction to books has somehow rather bring some good effects on the kids. btw, nak jugak tulis di sini, kalau sesiapa ada jumpa buku 'Nabil dan Puteri Nutrisi', hope you guys can purchase a copy. it's written by a my friend's wife who has a big passion in writing.

will be heading to IKEA afterwards to get some book shelf. we're in need of book shelf since 4 years ago!! i just can't stand the piles of boxes that are full of books and stuffs. (when i say stuffs, i actually don't know how to classify them)

sudah mula berfikir apa hendak dimasak weekend ini. it has been a while since i last think of what to cook, as OH was not around. err, nanti discuss dengan OH la apa mende dia nak makan. and i'll just cook. i just hope that he don't come up with the answer,"please surprise me." mau aku masak maggi jek nanti. :D

btw, i have finished reading 'PS I Love You' by Cecelia Atherns (yeah sudah agak ketinggalan, kerana selama ini saya terlalu obsess dengan Sophie Kinsella) and not forgetting the latest Sophie's collection, 'Twenties Girl'. insya Allah, i'll put up my review for you guys yeah. (unless there're request not putting any sebab akan kill the thrill and adrenaline to read)

:: Lelaki dan Wanita ::

LELAKI

Lelaki bujang kena tanggung dosa sendiri apabila sudah baligh manakala dosa gadis bujang ditanggung oleh bapanya.

Lelaki berkahwin kena tanggung dosa sendiri, dosa isteri, dosa anak perempuan yang belum berkahwin dan dosa anak lelaki yang belum baligh. BERATKAN?
~ hmm.. kalau laki yang mengamalkan poligami, sure lagi beratkan?

Hukum menjelaskan anak lelaki kena bertanggung jawab ke atas ibunya dan sekiranya dia tidak menjalankan tanggung jawabnya maka dosa baginya terutama anak lelaki yang tua, manakala perempuan tidak, perempuan hanya perlu taat kepada suaminya.
Isteri berbuat baik pahala dapat kepadanya kalau buat tak baik dosanya ditanggung oleh suaminya. BERATKAN??

Suami kena bagi nafkah pada isteri, ini wajib tapi isteri tidak. Walaupun begitu isteri boleh membantu. Haram bagi suami bertanya pendapatan isteri lebih-lebih lagi menggunakan pendapatan isteri tanpa izin ini.

Banyak lagi lelaki lebih-lebih lagi yang bergelar suami perlu tanggung. Kalau nak dibayangkan beratnya dosa-dosa yang ditanggungnya seperti gunung dengan semut. Itu sebabnya mengikut kajian nyawa orang perempuan lebih panjang daripada lelaki. Lelaki mati cepat kerana tak larat dengan beratnya dosa-dosa yang ditanggung (ikut kajian laa..) Tetapi orang lelaki ada keistimewaannya yang dianugerah oleh Allah SWT. Ini orang lelaki kena tahu, kalau tak tahu kena jadi perempuan. Begitulah kira-kiranya.

WANITA

Auratnya lebih susah dijaga berbanding lelaki.

Perlu meminta izin dari suaminya apabila mahu keluar rumah tetapi tidak sebaliknya.

Saksinya kurang berbanding lelaki. Menerima pusaka kurang dari lelaki.

Perlu menghadapi kesusahan mengandung dan melahirkan anak.

Wajib taat kepada suaminya tetapi suami tak perlu taat pada isterinya. Talak terletak di tangan suami dan bukan isteri.

Wanita kurang dalam beribadat kerana masalah haid dan nifas yang tak ada pada lelaki. Pernahkah kita lihat sebaliknya??

Benda yang mahal harganya akan dijaga dan dibelai serta disimpan ditempat yang tersorok dan selamat. Sudah pasti intan permata tidak akan dibiar bersepah-sepah bukan? Itulah bandingannya dengan seorang wanita.

Wanita perlu taat kepada suami tetapi lelaki wajib taat kepada ibunya 3 kali lebih utama dari bapanya . Bukankah ibu adalah seorang wanita ?

Wanita menerima pusaka kurang dari lelaki tetapi harta itu menjadi milik peribadinya dan tidak perlu diserahkan kepada suaminya , manakala lelaki menerima pusaka perlu menggunakan hartanya untuk menyara isteri dan anak-anak.

Wanita perlu bersusah payah mengandung dan melahirkan anak, tetapi setiap saat dia didoakan oleh segala haiwan, malaikat dan seluruh makhluk ALLAH di muka bumi ini, dan matinya jika kerana melahirkan adalah syahid kecil. Manakala dosanya diampun ALLAH (dosa kecil).

Di akhirat kelak, seorang lelaki akan dipertanggungjawabkan terhadap 4 wanita :
1. ibunya ,
2. isterinya ,
3.anak perempuannya , dan
4. saudara perempuannya.

Manakala seorang wanita pula, tanggungjawab terhadapnya ditanggung oleh 4 org lelaki ini :
1. suaminya,
2. ayahnya,
3. anak lelakinya dan
4. saudara lelakinya .

Seorang wanita boleh memasuki pintu Syurga melalui mana-mana pintu Syurga yg disukainya cukup dengan 4 syarat sahaja :
1. sembahyang 5 waktu
2. puasa di bulan Ramadhan
3. taat suaminya dan
4. menjaga kehormatannya .

Seorang lelaki perlu pergi berjihad fisabilillah tetapi wanita jika taat akan suaminya serta menunaikan tanggungjawabnya kepada ALLAH akan turut menerima pahala seperti pahala orang pergi berperang fisabilillah tanpa perlu mengangkat senjata.
MasyaALLAH...sayangnya ALLAH pada wanita ....

Seorang wanita adalah pelengkap dan sememangnya istimewa di sisi seorang lelaki , tetapi ingatlah wahai lelaki...

kamu sebenarnya adalah istimewa disisi Allah, maka dengan sebab itu DIA mengangkat kamu menjadi pemimpin...

maka dengan keistimewaan itu, JAGALAH dan HARGAILAH wanita sebaik-baiknya...
supaya kelak masing2 lelaki dan wanita dapat pulang mengadap Allah dalam keadaan istimewa disisiNYA..

:: berjersey merah ke old trafford.. eh bukit jalil.. ;) ::

i was on leave yesterday. unplanned.

it all started on sunday. kita salahkan surat khabar. kerana surat khabar mengkhabarkan bahawa perlawanan MU vs Msia akan diadakan semula pada hari isnin, 8.45 pm.

suamiku - hardcore fan MU. agaknya kalau ada exam sejarah MU, confirm dapat 4.0 flat. serius. he missed the saturday match, thanx to working abroad. he arrived in kl late, in fact after the match is over. so, when the oppportunity arises, he definitely gonna wade through, to make sure he is in the stadium, cheering for his team and Msia of course.

it was a brief discussion between him and me in the car, late sunday night after giving a ride to my lil bro in law back to college. he really wanted to bring me there and watch the match with him.

he got the tix on monday, during lunch hour, and there we go. set off to the match. took the lrt, instead of driving and arrived in BJ just in time.

it was a so-so game in my opinion. but according to my friends, the second match is far better than the first.

i didn't enjoy any minute of the first half, thanks to the smokers around me. heylo, 45 minute with a max of 5 mins smoking free, i'm sure i've inhale enough nicotine that night. lepas first half, we got the opportunity to switch place, and alhamdulillah it gets better, both surrounding and match. not much of good tries, perhaps due to players arrangement by both team. MU was with their second best while Msia was with their first team during the first half, and vice versa on the second half. not much of a balance there.

good tries from msia only came in during the last 3-4 mins of the match. sedey. but i applaud Msia's goalkeeper. he has done a beautiful job that night. he didn't crack under pressure and i believe he has good future ahead him. insya Allah.

we left the game just in time before the finishing whistle blew off to ctach the first train back to KL. arrived home at midnight (macam cinderella plak, tapi versi pakai jersey merah. serius aku rasa menyerlah gila malam tuh) gather both afiq and adib at mom's place and head home. makan², mandi² and solat, lepas tuh terus doze off. serius pagi esok tuh mata wa talak boleh buka. terus OH ngan i ber'mesyuwarah' dan mengumumkan hari selasa tuh adalah public hols untuk kami. haha. kunun² nak sambung tido after subuh, but afiq and adib decided that the day has started, dragging both of half awake us out. adeh.

tuesday was spent with dear boys at Kidz-Sport in OU. puas diorang main. it has been a while sinve the last time i brought them to the gym. malam siap.. mengigau². :D

okay la kengkawan. take good care. salam.

:: he's back ::

OH is back for 3 weeks, before he'll fly off again.

had a nice weekend and day out, with the boys of course. hit ikea to survey the very much needed book cabinet. the so called study room really needs some make over. nak post up gambar pun segan hokays!

anyway, brought the boys to LRT station for them to enjoy their first 'train' ride experience. they enjoy it so much. adib dok sebut woo-woo. (bunyi train). haha. and seperti dijangka, tamau turun. :P

will update the food blog later. cooked my so called famous tomyam (self confessed), steamed fish and terung berlada. yummy you! haha.

:: a week of no entry ::

almost a week without an entry, is so not me. ;p blogger tegar la katakan. but i really didn't have anytime to spare to scribble a word or two (well, i did yesterday, but this bl**dy wireless broadband tetiba disconnected - which i tak perasan, and i lost my entry. dang!)

where've i been? u may ask. no where exactly, just have been busy (a little) with work and my boys. alhamdulillah, 3 weeks without OH has been okay (though not A okay all the time. ada gak masa i K.O) adalah sekali sekala adib mengigau panggil daddy. but all in all, their 'rindu-ness' to their daddy are manageable, tho when we skyped, the kidos will start to kiss their daddy on the screen.

work has become a little bit interesting lately, with new challenges being thrown to the team. a group of 4 'beginner modellers' are requested to produce a flood risk map within 6 months time frame - which involves the very much hated area of engineering - hydrology and the complicated math equations of hydraulics. (ngeri pikir sasaran kerja tahun nih. mampukah?) so, jangan ingat keja gomen nih senang yek kawan2. we too have our fair share of hectic schedule and headaches.

anyway, blogging bout work, can never be interesting. don't u think? ngee.

owh, on the other note, i notice it has been at least a month since i last update my so called food blog. yeah, dapur rumah agak kurang berjerebu sebab ketiadaan food tester di rumah aka OH. i only cook simple, extremely simple food, and that is mainly for my kids. me? tak de appetite langsung nak makan, and as a result, i lost quite a significant nos of kg within a period of 5-6 weeks. kinda feel good, but worried at the same time. am i sick or what?

OH will be back in 2 days time, and has requested me to cook MALAY food. and setelah otak ini agak lama berkarat memikirkan menu, saya ingin memohon jasa baik tuan/[uan untuk mengemukakan sebarang cadangan menu yang boleh saya sediakan untuk suami tercinta pada hari sabtu ini. ;p

okay la readers. mata dah ngantuk sbnrnya tapi susah gila nak lelap. anak teruna 2 orang tuh dah selamat tido dr maghrib lagi tadi. boring pulak rasa bila afiq n adib dah tido.

it took me more than three weeks to finish the piece that OH bought for me.

Someone Special by Sheila O'Flanagan



it is indeed a beautiful composed novel, brewed with anger, frustrations, love and affection. it renders the complexity of a family life, career and love. how people view the same thing differently, that eventually draws everyone far apart.

this piece has made me flipping thru the pages during wee hours, and office too. don't have the time to spare at nights as the two boys need the mommy and mommy needs rest too.

nevertheless, this piece is very refreshing.

highly recommended.

:: shallow! ::

tired. lethargic. exhausted. assimilated with loneliness. excellent recipe to depression.

the feeling of 'giving up' hits the piano keys once in a while. but the blow of saxophone on the other room wakes me up.

does he feel the same?

updating and reading status in fb - am addicted. but there's one simple comment that i take really seriously. what with suggesting your OH looking for a brand new wife when abroad. nak jek aku lempang², terajang² orang nih. ko hengat semua bini suka kena tinggal? ko hengat, senang kena tinggal? sorry, aku tanak lempang. aku tanak terajang. aku nak tripped him off masa tengah jalan depan orang ramai. pastu aku leh gelak guling².

heylo!! lelaki².. is that the only thing in your mind? what a shame. shallow!
